Zeppole Balls
This recipe variation of the widely loved, traditional zeppole is tasty, fast and super easy to make!

Pastry Ingredients:
- 250g all purpose / bread flour
- 2 1/4 teaspoon instant yeast
- 1 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
Glaze Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 2-3 tablespoon milk
You will also need:
- Kenwood kitchen machine
- Philips air fryer
- Cooking spray
Makes:
Around 9 zeppole balls (depending on size)
Method:
- Using your Kenwood kitchen machine with the dough tool, combine & mix well 125g of flour, the instant yeast, sugar and salt.
- Add olive oil & salt and mix well.
- Add 125g of flour and mix. Add flour until the mixture forms into a dough ball and starts to pull away from the sides.
- In a seperate bowl, generously drizzle olive oil and brush up the sides with olive oil.
- Dust your hands with flour to form dough into a ball and transfer to the oil-drizzled bowl.
- Allow to rise for 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
- Shape the dough in small balls and lay them onto a greased air fryer basket (you can use cooking spray).
- Cook in your air fryer for 3 minutes at 170 degrees Celsius for 3 minutes. Shake and cook for another 3 minutes to ensure that they are evenly cooked.
- In a bowl, mix the powdered sugar, milk and melted butter.
- Dip the cooked zeppole int the glazing mix, let cool and serve!
