GENERAL SALES AND SERVICE TERMS & CONDITIONS

PRODUCT ADVICE
At Crosscraft we are here to assist you in choosing your appliances wisely. We strongly encourage our Customers to read the instruction manuals provided with each product as these contain important information which they need to know in order to familiarise themselves with its functions, maintain and operate their appliances correctly. However, should you need our professional advice, rest assured that we are just a call away.

SALES CONDITIONS
All Goods shall remain property of Crosscraft Co. Ltd. until the payment has been effected in full by the Client. In the event that a Sales order is cancelled by the Client, any deposit amount paid at the point of sale is not refundable. In case of an ordered item superseded by a newer version, customers will accept the latest similar model. Credit Terms may also apply and/or agreed at the sole discretion of the Company. Any overdue payments by Client will be subject to a charge of 8% interest on the outstanding balance as permitted by Law. The company is solely responsible and limited for claims related to the product itself and excluding any other responsibility.

DELIVERY
The delivery service is available at the company’s discretion and will be scheduled to a specific date and time agreed upon your purchase confirmation.

A fee will be charged in the event of a missed scheduled appointment. At Crosscraft, we aim to be very client oriented and committed to respect Schedules.

However, we will take no responsibility whatsoever if by Force Majeure we encounter difficulties or unforeseen circumstances which may constrain us to re-schedule delivery appointments. In that eventuality, we will do our best to inform Clients as early as possible. It is standard procedure that goods are delivered up to the
first floor of the building on condition that there are no Health and Safety issues that would endanger our employees.

Crosscraft waives any liability whatsoever for possible accidental damages on the Client’s property caused by our deliverymen during handling of goods. In case we are unable to effect safe and proper goods handling due to limited access or space restrictions, a lifting equipment shall be hired at the customer’s own expense.

Upon delivery and/or collection of goods, items must be inspected for visible aesthetic defects. Within 24hrs the customer may report any minor damages not larger than 1cm which were overlooked upon delivery. If no official report is received from the customer within 24 hrs from date of delivery, we assume that goods were received in good condition andno further claims on damages will be acceptedthereon.

GOODS RETURN AND/OR REPLACEMENT
In case the client wishes to cancel contract of sales, fifteen (15) days cooling off period is applied when purchasing through a distant means of communication, as stipulated by the law. Returns or changing of products is only accepted if items are accompanied by all documentation and remain sealed. However, this option is not to be considered as valid during special offers promoted occasionally by the company.

INSTALLATION
Crosscraft may offer a product installation service. However, prior to the installation client must ensure that a gas, water and/or electrical power supply is available and in accordance with standard and company requirements. Don’t hesitate to ask for assistance should you require professional guidance. Crosscraft Co. Ltd. reserves the right to refuse commissioning of the appliances if in doubt or suspects that such practice constitutes hazard or danger to third parties.

AFTER SALES SERVICE
Crosscraft Co. Ltd. represents the respective brands acting as the official Authorised Dealer. The product’s brand company has the ultimate responsibility for the conformity of the product and availability of spare parts. Our Service & Technical department provides general support to the clients in co-operation and supported by the main supplier. In the event your product should develop a fault during and/or after the guarantee period, our support team will do the utmost to provide you with a prompt and efficient service to resolve any technical issues which may arise.

GUARANTEE
The guarantee period will commence from the date of the installation and claims will only be taken into consideration if clients present Crosscraft’s original documentation. We will take all measures to ensure that your new appliance is free from any defects and according to manufacturer specifications. The product is not covered if faults or damages are caused by the non-observance of the manufacturer’s instruction manual, used strictly in a domestic environment and according to its sole intended use. It is the customer’s duty to inform Crosscraft immediately upon the first sign of any defect such that damage is contained to a minimum. The product guarantee is not transferable to third parties unless authorised by Crosscraft. Claims on faults or damages caused by misuse, negligence, carelessness
or acts of God are not accepted. Damages and/or faults resulting from electrical power surge, poor quality water supply, restricted air flow and/or lack of periodical ordinary maintenance as well as parts made of plastic, glass and rubber are not covered by warranty. Rust, corrosion and remote controls are also not covered by this guarantee. However, rechargeable batteries and power supplies are covered for a period of six (6) months from date of purchase. The company’s liability is solely and limited to repair and/or exchange defective parts on purchased appliance or any remedy which it deems fit to its own discretion and in accordance to the current Consumer Claims Affair Act, Cap 378 of the laws of Malta. Liability excludes 3rd party property, even if damaged by product.

Small goods such as electric kettles, hand or steam irons, mixers, food processors, microwave ovens etc. in necessity of repair or service must be delivered and re-collected by client at the company’s after-sales service workshop.

Crosscraft may opt to repair large appliances on site or at the Company’s workshop as may be required. Charges for any heavy lifting-equipment needed to collect/deliver appliances taken to workshop for repair is bourne by the customer.

As recommended in the user instructions, the client is responsible to carry out ordinarily maintenance such as cleaning of the air/fluff/grease and water pump filters, etc.

The guarantee cover terms and period are clearly described in the following format; P = Parts, Y = Years, 1 = Labour

P2Y12Y means Spare-parts (2) Two years & Labour (2) Two years
